Indonesian Amirul Hajj Delegation Arrives in Makkah, Reviews Hajj Services at Masjid al-Haram

Makkah, Saudi Arabia — Indonesian Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, who is also the Deputy Amirul Hajj, led the first batch of the Indonesian Amirul Hajj delegation upon arrival in Makkah to perform the obligatory Umrah and to monitor the readiness of services for Indonesian haj pilgrims ahead of the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. The delegation visited the Syib Amir bus terminal for the obligatory Umrah near Masjid al-Haram and carried out the tawaf, the circumambulation of the Kaaba. After completing the Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak and the delegation performed tahalul, the ritual hair-cutting, symbolising the completion of the Umrah, with a staff member from the Indonesian haj authority.
