Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand Hari Prabowo highlighted Eid al-Fitr 1447 H as a moment for preserving unity by strengthening brotherhood and togetherness among the Indonesian community and diaspora abroad, according to the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok on Saturday.

“Eid al-Fitr reminds us that the strength of faith should not stop at oneself, but is also reflected in our behaviour towards others with attitudes of mutual respect, assistance, and maintaining unity,” said Ambassador Hari in a written statement from the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok received in Jakarta.

The Indonesian Ambassador hopes that the Indonesian community will continue to maintain interpersonal relations with one another, support each other, and spread goodness to everyone and their surrounding environment.

In line with Ambassador Hari, Ustadz Rosyid Adi Noer Rochman, who served as the preacher, stated that the Indonesian community in Bangkok should always nurture unity and view differences as a path to mutual understanding and strengthening.

“When brotherhood has grown in the heart, the next step is to work together in goodness,” he said.

The Indonesian Embassy conveyed that more than 2,000 Indonesian community members participated in the Eid al-Fitr prayers and fellowship at the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok with the theme “Strong Faith, Great Unity: Indonesian Muslims Spreading Mercy to the Universe” on 21 March 2026.

According to the Embassy, the Eid al-Fitr prayers were also attended by several foreign nationals who are relatives of Indonesian citizens, such as from Malaysia, Myanmar, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, France, Russia, Thailand, and China.

The Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok stated that the attendees mingled and exchanged greetings while sampling typical Eid dishes in a simple atmosphere filled with a spirit of togetherness.

Indonesian Ambassador Hari Prabowo, who began his duties in Thailand on 13 March 2026, utilised the occasion to greet and introduce himself to the attendees.
