Indonesian Ambassador in Tehran Attends Final Tribute to Khamenei

The Indonesian Ambassador to Tehran, Rolliansyah Soemirat, attended the Grand Mosalla in Tehran on Saturday to pay respects to the late Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Footage showed Ambassador Soemirat alongside other Indonesian nationals at the venue, with attendees dressed in black. The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously stated that the government had been invited to the official mourning ceremonies and expressed its appreciation for the invitation. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Yvonne Mewengkang confirmed that Iran appreciated Indonesia’s decision to officially appoint the Ambassador as its representative. The tribute ceremonies for Khamenei were held from 3 to 9 July across various cities in Iran and Iraq. The event saw the attendance of numerous international delegations, including the President of Georgia, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, and the Vice Chairman of China’s National Committee, alongside representatives from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and other nations.
