Jakarta (ANTARA) - Units of the Indonesian Air Force are endeavouring to assist the public’s economy by organising affordable bazaar activities simultaneously at units and air bases throughout Indonesia on Tuesday (14/4). In an official press release received in Jakarta on Wednesday, it was explained that the bazaar was directly opened by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KSAU), Marsekal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono, at the Air Force Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta. Tonny stated that this affordable bazaar is held so that the surrounding community can obtain a variety of quality food needs at affordable prices. “Hopefully, the bazaars at the air bases can help, at least to alleviate the community’s shopping burden,” said Tonny. He mentioned that the range of products sold in this affordable bazaar includes rice, cooking oil, eggs, sugar, fruits, and various culinary products. In addition to making it easier for the public to obtain affordable staple needs, Tonny said this bazaar is also intended to enliven the businesses of micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) actors. Thus, he said, it is hoped that the wheels of the economy can run optimally. “This bazaar is expected to help alleviate community needs while increasing economic turnover in the TNI Air Force unit environment,” Tonny remarked.
