Indonesian Air Force Strengthens Health Services with New Air Force Hospital
The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) has strengthened its healthcare facilities for soldiers by inaugurating the Prof. dr. Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Hospital (RSAU) in Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/7). The inauguration was carried out directly by the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KSAU), Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono. Tonny stated that strengthening the health sector is one of the main factors supporting the TNI AU’s operations. He reflected on the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, during which defence operations were severely hampered by health threats. Therefore, he sought to provide the best facilities and services at the RSAU dr. Abdulrachman Saleh to support the health needs of soldiers. The hospital is not only for soldiers but also exists to provide the best health services to the general public. “This hospital is not just about presenting a new facility, but it marks a continuous responsibility to deliver tangible benefits,” he said. With strong health facilities for soldiers, Tonny is confident that TNI AU personnel will be more optimal in carrying out their duties to strengthen air defence. “The existence of the RSAU Prof. dr. Abdulrachman Saleh is expected to further strengthen health service support for TNI AU personnel so as to support the sustainable operational readiness of the TNI AU, while also delivering tangible benefits to the wider community,” he said. In addition to inaugurating the RSAU, Tonny also installed Colonel Kes dr. I Wayan Sumandyasa as the Head of the RSAU Prof. dr. Abdulrachman Saleh.
