Indonesian Air Force Strengthens Enforcement of Airspace Law
Jakarta (ANTARA) - TNI AU units through the National Air Operations Command (Koopsudnas) are striving to strengthen the enforcement of law in Indonesia’s airspace. One of the efforts undertaken is the Workshop on Enforcement of Indonesian Airspace Violations to enhance the quality of TNI AU investigators. In an official press release received in Jakarta on Thursday, the seminar was held at the Leo Wattimena Building of Makoopsudnas, Halim Perdanakusuma, Jakarta, on Monday (13/4). Koopsudnas Commander, Air Vice Marshal TNI Minggit Tribowo, stated that TNI AU air investigators are one of the spearheads of air law enforcement in Indonesia. Through the work of investigators, Minggit said, air law in Indonesia can be enforced so that airspace sovereignty will be increasingly maintained. “Therefore, the character of professional and effective air investigators must be built through continuous development, strong mastery of legal aspects, and sharp analytical abilities,” Minggit explained. He also reminded all air base units in the regions not to focus only on operations but to integrate law enforcement into every training activity. “In this way, every action taken has a clear legal basis and can be accounted for,” Minggit said. With efforts to improve the quality of investigators, Minggit is confident that Indonesia’s airspace will be increasingly safe and conducive.
