Indonesian Air Force distributes medical equipment to assist forest fire personnel
The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) distributed medical equipment, including masks, personal protective equipment (PPE), and oxygen cylinders, to personnel handling forest and land fires (karhutla) in Kalimantan on Saturday (5/9).
In an official TNI AU press release received in Jakarta on Sunday, it was explained that the delivery was carried out using a Hercules C-130 transport aircraft from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta.
Based on photographs received by ANTARA, the medical equipment was packed in dozens of cardboard boxes and black plastic wrapping.
Head of the TNI AU Information Service (Kadispenau), Air Commodore I Nyoman Suadnyana, explained in a press statement that his office would continue to send PPE periodically for the personnel.
With the availability of this medical equipment, Nyoman expressed hope that personnel would be able to maintain their own safety while handling the forest and land fires.
