Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) is strengthening military cooperation with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) through the 20th Annual Staff Meeting (ASM) held in Manado on Friday (4/9).

According to an official press release from the TNI AU received in Jakarta on Saturday, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Marshal Tedi Rizalihadi, representing the TNI AU, and the Chief of Staff – Air Staff (COS-AS), Brigadier General Ho Kum Luen, representing the RSAF.

Tedi explained in the press release that the TNI AU and RSAF have been involved in various forms of cooperation, ranging from personnel exchanges for military education to joint combat exercises.

“These various forms of cooperation are an important part of strengthening trust, mutual understanding, and professionalism between both air forces,” said Tedi.

With this meeting, Tedi expressed his hope that the established cooperation can continue to progress to strengthen the military capabilities of both nations.

At the same time, Ho Kum Luen expressed his appreciation for the hosting of the 20th ASM and the hospitality shown by the TNI AU during the RSAF delegation’s stay in Indonesia.

According to him, the ASM serves as an appropriate forum to build communication, discuss various issues, make decisions, and support the implementation of bilateral cooperation.

“The Annual Staff Meeting has become one of the important pillars in the discussion, decision-making, and implementation of all bilateral activities between the RSAF and the TNI AU,” he stated.

He expressed his hope that this meeting will continue to take place annually to further strengthen the relationship between the TNI AU and the RSAF.
