BMKG urges the public to remain cautious of sudden extreme weather, including lightning, thunderstorms, and strong winds. Residents engaging in outdoor activities are advised to monitor updates via BMKG’s official channels. BMKG has also issued alerts for heightened vigilance in Bangka Belitung, West Kalimantan, and Maluku due to cyclonic circulation triggering heavy to very heavy rainfall today. For Jakarta, BMKG predicts partly cloudy skies today, Tuesday 26 May, with light rain likely in South and West Jakarta this afternoon. Early warnings have been issued for thunderstorms in Tanjungpinang, Palembang, and Pontianak, while Jakarta and Serang are forecast to experience moderate rain.
