Indonesia Weather Forecast for 27 May 2026: Potential for Heavy Rain and Strong Winds in Several Cities
The Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) has released its weather forecast for 27 May 2026, issuing a warning of extreme weather conditions affecting several major cities. Residents are advised to be cautious of moderate to very heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
BMKG forecaster Sufia Nur explained that the conditions are driven by convergence zones stretching from Aceh’s west coast, Bengkulu waters, the Strait of Malacca, to the Java Sea and Central Kalimantan’s southern coast. This phenomenon significantly increases rain cloud formation along the convergence path.
