Indonesia Weather Forecast for 19 June 2026: Most Regions Cloudy to Rainy

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued the weather forecast for Indonesia today, 19 June 2026. The majority of regions across the country are predicted to be covered by cloudy conditions and rain of varying intensity.

BMKG forecaster Adelia Febby, in an official broadcast in Jakarta, urged the public to be aware of the potential for extreme weather in several locations. One area of concern is the potential for rain accompanied by lightning or thunder in the Medan region.

In addition to Medan, BMKG noted the potential for moderate-intensity rain forecast to pour over the Jambi and Palembang regions. Meanwhile, light-intensity rain is predicted to occur in several other major cities.

On the other hand, more favourable weather conditions are forecast for the Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Palangka Raya regions, which are predicted to be partly cloudy. However, residents in Bandar Lampung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya need to be aware of hazy air conditions that have the potential to blanket these areas throughout the day.

Moving into the eastern part of Indonesia, BMKG issued an early warning regarding the potential for moderate rain in Mamuju. Meanwhile, light rain is forecast to wet the regions of Kupang, Palu, Manado, Ternate, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, Nabire, and Jayawijaya.

For the Denpasar, Makassar, and Jayapura regions, weather conditions are forecast to be cloudy to heavily cloudy. BMKG also detected the potential for smoke haze in Kendari, as well as hazy air in Mataram, Gorontalo, and Merauke.
