Indonesia Warns of Global Risks from Israel's Attacks in Lebanon
The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu), has strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Beirut and several other areas in Lebanon. The strikes have caused casualties among civilians and damage to infrastructure.
“Such attacks constitute serious violations of international law, including international humanitarian law, and risk further exacerbating regional tensions that endanger global security,” stated the official position of the Indonesian Government via its X account @Kemlu on Thursday (9/4).
Indonesia asserts that such actions are unjustifiable and have the potential to expand the conflict in the region.
The government also urges Israel to immediately and permanently cease all forms of aggression.
“Indonesia demands that Israel immediately and permanently halt violence and aggression in Lebanon,” stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
Furthermore, Indonesia emphasises the importance of protecting civilians and civilian facilities in accordance with obligations under international law.

In addition, Indonesia calls on all parties involved in the conflict to exercise restraint and prioritise peace efforts to prevent further escalation.
