Indonesia Urges Citizens in Middle East to Increase Vigilance and Releases Emergency Hotline Numbers
Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu RI) is maintaining intensive communication and coordination with Indonesian citizens in the Middle East region. The Government is urging all Indonesian nationals in the affected areas to remain calm and heighten their vigilance.
“Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indonesian representatives in the Middle East region continue to maintain intensive communication and coordinate with Indonesian citizens in affected areas,” according to an official statement from Kemlu RI released on Sunday, 1 March 2026.
“All Indonesian citizens in affected areas are advised to remain calm, increase vigilance, follow directions from local authorities, and maintain regular communication with the nearest Indonesian representative,” the statement said.
Kemlu RI has also cautioned Indonesian citizens planning to travel to countries in the Middle East region. Citizens are urged to postpone their travel plans for safety reasons.
“Indonesians planning to travel through or transit in the Middle East region are encouraged to reconsider their travel plans and postpone travel until the situation becomes more conducive,” it added.
