Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government will offer 111 projects worth 16.74 bln usd at a two-day infrastructure summit that starts today, deputy coordinating minister for infrastructure Suyono Dikun said.

He said the main target is to offer 10 projects worth 4.51 bln usd.

"For the 10 projects we will issue information memorandum to potential investors at the summit. Hopefully, right after the summit, we can start the bidding process," Dikun told XFN-Asia.

He said the government hopes interest on the remaining 101 projects valued at 12.23 bln usd will follow suit.

The projects range from power plants, toll roads, water, gas pipelines and transportation infrastructure.

"The number (of total projects to be offered) is not fixed. It could change but that is the plan," said Dikun, who heads the summit's steering committee.

During the first infrastructure summit in January last year, the government offered 91 projects worth more than 22.5 bln usd, but has so far secured deals for only nine. (*)
