Indonesia Targets Becoming World's Largest EV Battery Producer by 2040
JAKARTA. The Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has stated that Indonesia is targeted to become the world's largest electric vehicle battery producing nation by 2040.
Deputy for Investment Implementation Control at the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries/BKPM, Edy Junaedi, said that in addition to the electric vehicle production target, Indonesia is also projected to become the world's second largest producer of stainless steel by 2040.
