'Indonesia Sukses' quiz

From Koran Tempo

We have often heard on the television that many elementary
schools have collapsed because not enough funds are available for
their proper maintenance. Many experts and government leaders
have also complained on TV that there is not enough money to
develop the country's education.

Ironically, we have also learned from TV that Yayasan
Investigasi, Mediasi dan Monitoring (the Investigation, Mediation
and Monitoring Foundation) is promoting its "Indonesia Sukses"
(Successful Indonesia) quiz, with over Rp 14 billion offered in
prizes. The president directors of Pertamina and Indosat have
even stated that they had each contributed Rp 1 billion toward
this quiz.

I believe it is better to allocate the money to repair schools
that are in poor condition. What is the use of organizing a quiz,
when its winners may not be people in need?
