Indonesia Strongly Condemns Israel's Brutal Attack in Lebanon
The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) RI, has strongly condemned Israel’s attack in Beirut, Lebanon. Indonesia demands an end to the violence and violations of international law.
The brutal attack has reportedly triggered numerous civilian casualties and caused massive infrastructure damage in the affected areas.
In its official statement, Indonesia emphasised that the attack is not merely a military action but a serious breach of international law.
“The attack constitutes a serious violation of international law, including international humanitarian law,” reads the official statement from the Indonesian Government via the X account @Kemlu on Thursday (9/4/2026).
The government also highlighted that this act of aggression poses a significant risk of exacerbating regional tensions. If it continues, the situation is feared to create broader global security instability.
As a form of moral and political responsibility on the global stage, Indonesia has issued a direct demand to the Israeli side.
“Indonesia calls on all involved parties to exercise maximum restraint, undertake de-escalation efforts, prioritise dialogue, and avoid steps that could worsen the situation,” stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs RI.
