Indonesia strengthens cooperation in human resource development with Azerbaijan
In Jakarta, Indonesian Minister of Manpower Yassierli highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of human resources development (HRD).
“Human resource development has become an increasingly important pillar of our bilateral partnership,” Yassierli said in his remarks at Azerbaijan’s 108th Independence Day celebrations in Jakarta on Thursday.
Yassierli said both countries have significant potential to strengthen cooperation that links markets, regions and communities. In this regard, HRD cooperation between the two countries is becoming increasingly significant.
A memorandum of understanding between the two governments on HRD cooperation provides a concrete framework to advance collaboration in areas highly relevant to the future of work and sustainable economic transformation.
Therefore, the two countries will continue to strengthen cooperation in the areas of social security systems, education and vocational training, skills development, labour market development, and social protection for Indonesian migrant workers.
These priorities, Yassierli said, are very important as both countries continue to prepare a workforce that is resilient, adaptable and globally competitive.
“We believe stronger cooperation in these sectors will not only contribute to capacity-building and workforce readiness, but also to inclusive growth and long-term economic resilience in both countries,” said Yassierli.
Yassierli also stressed the joint efforts by Indonesia and Azerbaijan in the global context to strengthen collaboration among developing countries.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Ramil Abil oglu Rzayev, in his remarks, also stressed the importance of bilateral ties across various fields, including economic cooperation, investment, digital transformation, tourism and more.
“We would like to reaffirm Azerbaijan’s readiness to work more closely with Indonesia,” said Ambassador Rzayev.
