Indonesia Stock Exchange Pursues Market Deepening
JAKARTA. The Indonesian capital market has entered its 49th year since being reactivated on 10 August 1977. Amid this milestone, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has a series of agendas to expand the market into a multi-asset exchange by developing various investment instruments. One of the latest steps by the BEI was the launch of a gold exchange-traded fund (ETF) on Monday (10/8). This product adds an alternative investment in the capital market and is part of the strategy to deepen Indonesia’s capital market.
