Indonesia Stock Exchange Launches Sharia Mode in IDX Mobile Application
In support of investor needs for transparent, reliable information aligned with Sharia principles, PT Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has introduced a Sharia mode within its IDX Mobile application.
The Sharia mode represents a digital innovation that enables the public to obtain Islamic capital market information through a single application. It was officially launched on Monday, 9 March at BEI’s Main Hall.
The Sharia mode on IDX Mobile features several key functions: Sharia Equity Market, Sukuk Market, Sharia Virtual Trading, Sharia Education Portal, and Fatwa & Regulation. These features are designed to guide investors from the education phase through to making Islamic investment decisions. Users can access information on Islamic shares and sukuk, practise transactions virtually, study relevant regulations and fatwas, and obtain various educational resources within a single application.
The introduction event was opened by BEI Acting Chief Executive Jeffrey Hendrik, followed by a talk show titled “Empowering Sharia Investment Journey with IDX Mobile Sharia.” The discussion featured financial educator Khairani Pane and Ustaz Azharuddin Lathif, a member of the National Sharia Board Advisory Council - Indonesian Ulama Council (DSN-MUI). The talk show addressed the importance of credible information access aligned with Sharia principles to support public investment journeys in the capital market.
With IDX Mobile users now exceeding 510,000, BEI hopes the Sharia mode will provide added value to the public, strengthen literacy and confidence in Islamic investments, and encourage investor participation in Indonesia’s capital market. This aligns with BEI’s efforts to continually strengthen Indonesia’s capital market credibility and enhance competitiveness sustainably.
