The program took place at several TNI AU bases from July 21 through July 29, 2026, according to a press statement released by the Indonesian Air Force on Friday.

“The annual reciprocal junior officer exchange program serves as a strategic platform to foster professionalism, broaden participants’ perspectives, and strengthen cooperation between the two air forces,” Indonesian Air Force Head of Information Service Air Commodore I Nyoman Suadnyana said.

Suadnyana noted that officers from both air forces exchanged knowledge and experience regarding military defense technology, defense systems, and organizational structures.

In addition to discussion sessions, the RSAF delegation visited several TNI AU facilities, including operational squadrons and training sites.

“The delegation also visited Helicopter Squadron Group 2 and simulator facilities. The visits provided an overview of the Indonesian Air Force’s capabilities, organizational structure, and operational readiness in carrying out its missions,” he said.

Suadnyana expressed hope that the exchange program would further improve the professional capabilities of TNI AU and RSAF officers in air defense.

He added that the program is expected to bolster defense ties between the Indonesian Air Force and the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
