Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani has announced that Indonesia secured a total of Rp 950 trillion in investment during the first semester of 2025. Of that figure, 30 per cent — approximately Rp 285 trillion — came from downstreaming programme investments.

"I just received the report a few days ago. From the investment that came in during the second quarter of 2025, or over one semester, the contribution was roughly Rp 950 trillion or more, with 30 per cent coming from downstreaming," he explained at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources office in Jakarta on Tuesday (22 July 2025).

"If I may share a little, the contribution from investment in the downstreaming sector has indeed increased quite significantly," Rosan said.

According to the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM report, realised investment in the first quarter of 2025 reached Rp 465.2 trillion, representing 24.4 per cent of the established target.

"This is in line with our target. In fact, compared to the previous year, it represents a year-on-year increase of 15.9 per cent," Rosan said at the Presidential Office in Jakarta.

President Prabowo Subianto has set an investment target of Rp 1,905.6 trillion for the full year.
