“Throughout 2025, recommendations from BPK audit findings resulted in state financial savings of Rp112 trillion,” Prabowo said in his State of the Nation Address at the 2026 Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta.

Prabowo said BPK’s oversight was aimed at ensuring that public funds were used properly and efficiently.

He also said international confidence in Indonesian auditors was growing, noting that BPK had been elected to chair the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) for the 2028-2031 term.

BPK has also been appointed to the United Nations Board of Auditors for the 2026-2032 term, Prabowo said.

He said the positions reflected growing international confidence in BPK’s ability to audit Indonesia’s state finances.

On Friday, the MPR, DPR, and DPD held the Annual Session of the MPR and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD.

The agenda included President Prabowo Subianto’s address on the performance reports of state institutions, as well as his State of the Nation Address commemorating the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s independence.

The annual session was held under the theme “A Sovereign, Just and Prosperous Indonesia,” reflecting the government’s vision for national development.
