Indonesia-Russia Sign Agreed Minutes to Strengthen Cooperation in Various Strategic Sectors
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) and the Government of the Russian Federation signed the Agreed Minutes of the 14th Indonesia-Russia Joint Commission Session on trade, economic, and technical cooperation in Kazan, Russia, on Tuesday (12/5/2026).
The document was signed by Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto on behalf of the Indonesian Government and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov on behalf of the Russian Federation Government.
The Agreed Minutes is a joint document containing developments related to the implementation of bilateral cooperation, understandings achieved in the Joint Commission Session, and directions for follow-up cooperation in various priority sectors.
The document serves as an important reference to ensure the continuity of implementing the results of discussions between the two countries in a more directed and concrete manner.
Coordinating Minister Airlangga stated that the signing of the Agreed Minutes of the 14th Indonesia-Russia Joint Commission Session reflects the commitment of both countries to continue strengthening and following up on cooperation in various priority fields.
According to him, this step aligns with the directives of the leaders of both countries to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Russia.
“This document serves as an important reference for both countries in continuing and strengthening the implementation of cooperation in various priority sectors and mapping various potentials that have not been well developed so far,” said Airlangga, quoted from the ekon.go.id website, Wednesday (13/5/2026).
For information, in that agenda, Airlangga was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, Indonesian Ambassador to Moscow Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, and Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry (Sesmenko) for the Economy Susiwijono Moegiarso.
