Indonesia Ready to Send 4,021 Course Institution Alumni Workers to 11 Countries

The Gebyar Kursus 2026 event served as a platform for the Forum of Course and Training Institution Managers (FPLKP) and the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) to release 4,021 LKP alumni who are ready to work in 11 countries. The event, held at Plaza Festival in Kuningan, South Jakarta on Saturday, 29 August 2026, affirmed the role of course education in producing competent and globally competitive Indonesian human resources.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti stated that the release of thousands of alumni demonstrates the contribution of non-formal education in providing the skills needed by the community to enter the workforce. He noted that the existence of LKPs also expands opportunities for the public to access education, which can lead them to professional jobs both domestically and abroad.

“This shows the role of non-formal education institutions, particularly LKPs, in educating the nation,” said Abdul Mu’ti in his statement on Saturday, 29 August 2026. “As well as providing education and skills for Indonesian children to obtain jobs in professional sectors, both at home and abroad,” he added.

He explained that the government continues to promote accessible, flexible, and affordable education services through various educational pathways. Course education, he acknowledged, is one example of how formal and non-formal education can work together to equip the younger generation with life skills.

“This programme is also a clear example of how formal and non-formal education play an important role in equipping Indonesian children with life skills to earn a decent living and life,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the FPLKP Central Executive Board, Zoelkifli M. Adam, said that LKPs focus on creating human resources through competency development that matches the needs of the job market. After completing training, participants have opportunities to work or develop businesses independently, both domestically and abroad.

“LKP is one of the educational units that consistently creates human resources through competency. Of course, after these children are trained here, some become entrepreneurs and some work, both at home and abroad,” said Zoelkifli.
