PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero), known as Indonesia Re, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the development of an integrated risk guarantee scheme for the national tourist vessel fleet. The signing took place on the sidelines of the INSA Yacht Festival (IYF) 2026 in Benoa, Denpasar, Bali.

Indonesia Re is collaborating with the Indonesian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA), PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) (BKI), and PT Asuransi Jasaraharja Putera (JRP). The cooperation marks the first application of the Strategic Risk Management (SRM) concept in the maritime tourism segment.

This is an approach that places technical risk control and financial risk guarantee in a single uninterrupted chain (end to end), from ship owners through to insurance and reinsurance. Indonesia Re President Director Robbi Yanuar Walid explained that the cooperation proves that national capabilities, when properly assembled, are able to deliver a complete risk guarantee solution for strategic industries such as maritime tourism.

“Indonesia Re is here to ensure that guarantee capacity continues to grow domestically, in line with the spirit of self-reliance that is the major direction of the Danantara ecosystem,” said Robbi in a press release in Jakarta on Thursday (20/8/2026).
