Indonesia out to reach final

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian representative, Persija, hopes to
reach the final of the Asia-Pacific Nike Premier Cup under-14
soccer championship in Kuala Lumpur, starting tomorrow.

Team manager Dedy Kusmayadi said upon the team's departure on
Monday that Persija is determined to battle it out to win the
junior tournament.

Persija will join teams from Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea
during the four-day, round-robin competition.

Persija has called up 16 players and been loaned four junior
booters from Medan and Semarang. It will kick off its campaign
against Japan tomorrow. (amd)
