Indonesia Officially Becomes Partner Country for INNOPROM 2026
Indonesia has been officially designated as the Official Partner Country for INNOPROM 2026, the largest international industrial exhibition in the Eurasian region, scheduled to take place from 6-9 July 2026 in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Supported by 50 national industrial delegates, this participation represents a concrete step by Indonesia to strengthen industrial partnerships between Indonesia, Russia, and countries in the Eurasian region, whilst simultaneously opening opportunities for investment, manufacturing cooperation, and expanding export markets for national industrial products.
“Indonesia’s industrial relationship with Russia has a strong foundation. What we are doing now is ensuring that this foundation develops into a concrete and sustainable partnership. INNOPROM 2026 is an important opportunity to bring together industry players from both countries directly, increase investment, and open cooperation opportunities that provide real benefits for both parties,” said Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in a statement in Jakarta on Monday (22/6).
As the Official Partner Country, Indonesia will present a national pavilion covering more than 1,500 square metres, making it one of the largest pavilions at INNOPROM 2026. Carrying the theme “Navigating Industrial Futures”, the pavilion will showcase five leading sectors: agro and food processing industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, specialised manufacturing and consumer goods, advanced manufacturing and engineering, as well as industrial estates and investment. The pavilion will serve as a centre for business matching, bilateral business forums, and high-level meetings between ministerial-level delegates from both countries.
Indonesia’s participation in INNOPROM 2026 is supported by the increasingly strong economic relationship between Indonesia and Russia. In 2025, the total bilateral trade value between the two countries reached USD 1,876,370 thousand, with recorded Russian investment realisation in Indonesia amounting to USD 262.8 million.
Bilateral relations between Indonesia and Russia have also shown positive developments in recent years. Following the meeting between President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on 10 December 2025, which produced various strategic understandings in the economic and industrial fields, the two leaders met again at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow in April 2026 to strengthen cooperation in the energy, investment, technology, downstream processing, and industrial development sectors. The strengthening of this relationship was also marked by the signing of the Indonesia-Eurasian Economic Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EAEU CEPA), which opens wider market access for Indonesian products to the Eurasian region and strengthens trade, industrial, and investment cooperation.
This momentum has also yielded concrete cooperation, including through the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between PT PAL Indonesia and Rosato for cooperation on floating nuclear power plants, as well as the exploration of cooperation between Pupuk Indonesia and Uralchem. With its ranking of 13th in the world based on Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) and its position as the largest manufacturing country in Southeast Asia, Indonesia’s presence at INNOPROM 2026 represents a strategic opportunity to expand industrial partnerships, attract investment, and strengthen Indonesia’s position as a key industrial partner in the Eurasian region.
