Indonesia Offers Rice Exports to Singapore as Iran Launches Strikes on US Bases
Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu Hai Yien, has responded to Indonesia’s offer to export at least 10,000 tonnes of rice to the city-state. Grace stated that the proposal would be discussed further with importers in Singapore, adding that the country welcomes the opportunity for cooperation. Separately, Iran launched a barrage of missiles and drones at US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain on Sunday morning, shortly after US President Donald Trump threatened to annihilate Iran’s leadership if it failed to comply with a temporary agreement to end their conflict.
