Indonesia keeps subsidized fuel, LPG prices unchanged

Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Bahlil Lahadalia announced the decision after a limited cabinet meeting chaired by President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday.

“We can confirm that there will be no increase in subsidized fuel prices, as decided today. There will be no increase in subsidized fuel, including subsidized LPG,” Bahlil stated.

He also assured the public that national fuel and LPG stocks remain sufficient and exceed the country’s minimum strategic reserve requirements, despite fluctuations in international oil prices caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

“The geopolitical conflict in the Middle East is continuing, but God willing, our fuel, crude oil and LPG stocks remain above national minimum safety standards,” Bahlil explained.

According to him, prices on the global market continue to fluctuate, but domestic rates will hold firm.

Under the current pricing policy, the retail price of subsidized Pertalite gasoline remains Rp10,000 (approximately US$ 0.62) per liter, while subsidized Solar diesel is priced at Rp6,800 (US$0.42) per liter.
