Indonesia in the future

I was hoping Indonesia would be a better place for all of us. No
more corruption, war, disaster, trash, etc. But the question is
when? When will we have that Indonesia? I think the major problem
is self-consciousness. If only our government's laws were
stricter, I'm sure that Indonesia would be cleaner and safer.
As for education, I think many children are not getting it
properly. Many factors like money cause this to be the case. Most
say that the [money they make] from work is only enough for their
daily needs; it is not enough to pay for their children's
schooling. That's why there are many children or teens that
already work at a young age. Only the wealthy children can
continue their education.
Sadly, the [poor] often become criminals to get money to live,
because they have little education or people don't [hire] them. I
hope in the future, the government will take care of this
problem, like making new and [affordable] schools or increasing
its sphere of activity.
I think our tradition is being beaten [down] by modern
culture, especially those from other countries, starting [with]
style, fashion, music, language, etc. People [prefer] them more
than our traditional culture.
However, our traditional culture teaches us good manners, like
to respecting [the elderly] and taking care of young ones. If
this culture is gone, we won't have a national identity anymore.
My suggestion is, we have to maintain our good culture to
become a good nation.
I always hate it when I walk or pass an area and it is full of
trash. Even though there is a warning sign, people still
[litter]. Can't they read or what? Of course they can, and if
they are smart enough, they will know it is bad for the
environment and themselves. I think we have to teach good habits,
like to hate littering and to love clean environments, to young
children. We also have to give them examples on how to make a
good and clean environment.
Indonesia will not be a good nation if we ourselves don't care
about our nation. So bring out your [conscience] and don't break
the rules or the law. Be helpful to everybody and let's make our
country better than ever.
