The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is fully committed to carrying out its mandate to organize the Hajj pilgrimage professionally, transparently, and responsibly,Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has confirmed that Hajj officials from Indonesian will begin departing for the Holy Land on April 17-18, to ensure the readiness of pilgrim services for 2026 Hajj season.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf stated that the officials starting the Hajj mission will be those assigned to the Airport and Medina Working Areas (Daker).

“The 2026 Saudi Arabian PPIH departure schedule begins with the departure of the advance team on April 13. It will be followed by the Airport and Medina Working Areas (Daker) on April 17 and 18,” Yusuf said during a working meeting with Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He added that the Makkah Working Areas (Daker) will be dispatched in stages on April 22 and 23, to ensure the readiness of pilgrim services there. Meanwhile, Amirul Hajj is scheduled to depart on May 19.

According to him, this schedule has been designed to ensure that all aspects of service run optimally.

“The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is fully committed to carrying out its mandate to organize the Hajj pilgrimage professionally, transparently, and responsibly,” he said.

The ministry explained that Indonesia has received a Hajj quota of 221,000 this year, consisting of 203,320 regular pilgrims and 17,680 special Hajj pilgrims.

It has also scheduled that the first group of prospective Hajj pilgrims will arrive at Hajj dormitories on April 21 and depart for the Holy Land on April 22.
