Indonesia fast-tracks immigration for Guns N' Roses and BTS concerts

The support is in line with Immigration’s role as a facilitator of economic development, Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko said.

“We simplify the process through the fast-track service,” he said during a press briefing on Wednesday.

He explained that his office has regulations governing performer visas to expedite the visa approval process.

The visa facilitates the entry of foreign nationals into Indonesia for artistic performances. It is available to artists, musicians, actors and support crew members participating in such events.

According to Marantoko, Immigration plays a strategic role in supporting the Guns N’ Roses and BTS concerts in Indonesia.

While the Jakarta Provincial Government is supporting the events by providing the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium as a venue, Immigration is helping ensure the artists can perform by streamlining the visa issuance process, he said.

“This also has a positive impact on Indonesia’s overall image as a nation that is welcoming yet firm,” he said.

Similar support is being extended to the sports sector through the “Sports Visa” policy.

Marantoko said the policy is in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive that every event and performer in Indonesia should contribute to economic growth.

“The influx of international spectators generates foreign exchange and state revenue,” Marantoko said.

Guns N’ Roses is scheduled to perform in Indonesia in November, while South Korean group BTS is set to hold its “Arirang” World Tour at GBK Stadium on December 26, 27 and 29, 2026.
