Indonesia Eximbank (LPEI) posted a net profit of Rp77 billion in the first quarter of 2026, an 81 percent year-on-year increase. Executive Director Sukatmo Padmosukarso said the positive performance was driven by higher business activity and improvements in asset quality. He added that the improvement aligns with increased activity in national export financing and stronger fundamentals in asset management, reflecting LPEI’s active role in supporting government Astacita programs while adhering to prudential norms to safeguard financing quality and business sustainability.

The bank’s financing business unit stood at Rp32.3 trillion, up 13 percent from Rp28.6 trillion in the same period last year. Meanwhile, guarantees reached Rp4.2 trillion and insurance volume Rp1.4 trillion. LPEI noted this demonstrates its active role in financing and risk mitigation for export-oriented businesses.

In terms of asset quality, LPEI recorded collections and special assets of Rp648 billion. The improvement in asset quality contributed to the net non-performing loan (NPL) ratio improving to 1.77 percent from 2.41 percent in December 2025. LPEI said this demonstrates the effectiveness of its business and risk management strategies to maintain healthy and sustainable growth.

Additionally, realisation of the Special Export Assignment (Penugasan Khusus Ekspor, PKE) in Q1 2026 reached Rp3.6 trillion, up 39 percent YoY. The PKE Trade Finance and PKE Kawasan programmes were the largest contributors to this disbursement, while PKE UKM recorded the portfolio of debtors the largest.

Through PKE programmes, exporters can increase production capacity, sustain their business, strengthen Indonesia’s product competitiveness in global markets, and expand access to international markets, particularly non-traditional countries.” ,
