Indonesia Condemns Israel's Attacks on Lebanon: Violation of International Law!

Jakarta – Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) has strongly condemned the attacks launched by Israel on Beirut and various areas in Lebanon. These attacks have caused numerous civilian casualties and physical damage. “Indonesia strongly condemns the various Israeli attacks on Beirut and various areas in Lebanon that have caused numerous civilian casualties and physical damage,” stated Kemlu, as quoted from its X account post on Friday, 10 April 2026. Kemlu described the Israeli attacks as serious violations of international law. “These attacks constitute serious violations of international law, including international humanitarian law, and risk further exacerbating regional tensions that endanger global security,” it said. In addition, Kemlu demanded that Israel immediately and permanently cease the violence and aggression in Lebanon. Indonesia also emphasised the importance of protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure, in accordance with international legal obligations. “Indonesia calls on all involved parties to exercise maximum restraint, undertake de-escalation efforts, prioritise dialogue, and avoid actions that could worsen the situation,” it clarified.
