Indonesia Concludes INNOPROM 2026 with 13 Industrial Cooperation Agreements and New Investment Opportunities

Indonesia has concluded its participation as Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, securing 13 memoranda of understanding (MoU) and expanding industrial cooperation with several countries in the Eurasian region. The achievement is considered a strategic move to attract investment, accelerate technology transfer, and open new market access for Indonesian manufactured products. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated that Indonesia’s participation in the largest industrial exhibition in the Eurasian region successfully strengthened the position of national industry in the international market. “Indonesia’s participation as Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 has strengthened the position of national industry in the Eurasian market. This is evident from the high enthusiasm of industry players from the Eurasian market who wish to cooperate with national industry and have even signed MoUs throughout our presence in Russia,” Agus said in a written statement. During the four-day INNOPROM 2026 event, the Ministry of Industry utilised various bilateral meeting agendas, business forums, business talks, and business matching to expand industrial partnerships, increase investment, accelerate technology transfer, and broaden export markets. At the event, Indonesia held eight bilateral meetings with the governments of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, as well as the Regional Governments of Chelyabinsk, Kirov, and Sverdlovsk in Russia. From these meetings, 13 MoUs were reached covering cooperation in industry, trade, investment, downstreaming, industrial estate development, supply chain strengthening, industrial human resource development, and technology transfer. The agreements involved the Indonesian Ministry of Industry with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the governments of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and several industrial regions in Russia. In addition to government-to-government cooperation, several Indonesian companies also signed business-to-business (B2B) cooperation agreements. These involved the Indonesian Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Association (IPERINDO), PT PCM Kabel Indonesia, PT Athira Maritim Indonesia, the Indonesian Ship Component Industry Association (PIKKI), United Industrial Corporation AK Bars, PT Minang Jordanindo, CHETRA LLC, and the Indonesian Industrial Estates Association (HKI) with the Association of Clusters, Technology Parks and Special Economic Zones of the Russian Federation (ACTPRF). The cooperation covers various strategic sectors, including manufacturing, mechanical engineering, heavy equipment, automotive, metallurgy, chemical industry, halal industry, mineral processing, industrial estate development, human resource competency enhancement, and strengthening investment and trade. Furthermore, the Ministry of Industry held eight business forums and business talks discussing various strategic issues, ranging from advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, telematics, maritime industry, downstreaming, sustainable palm oil industry, to strengthening the industrial value chain between the Eurasian and ASEAN regions. Director General of Resilience, Regionalisation, and International Industrial Access at the Ministry of Industry, Tri Supondy, said the results achieved during INNOPROM 2026 demonstrate the growing trust of international partners in Indonesian industry. “The achievements made by Indonesia during INNOPROM 2026 show that national industry is increasingly trusted, and the cooperation established through this event is expected to open up more investment, trade, and industrial collaboration opportunities that provide added value for strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian manufacturing,” Tri said. Meanwhile, Formika Event Business Programme Director Anton Atrashkin appreciated Indonesia’s participation as Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026, noting that Indonesia’s presence was one of the most prominent during the exhibition. “This is the first time Indonesian business players have been present in Russia on such a large scale, and we saw so much talent and energy poured into presenting a pavilion and a series of very impressive activities,” he said. Indonesia’s success at INNOPROM 2026 reinforces the role of industrial diplomacy as an instrument to expand international networks while producing concrete cooperation that supports investment, value-added industrial development, and export market expansion towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 target.
