Indonesia Concludes Industrial Mission at INNOPROM 2026 with Over a Dozen Strategic Partnerships
Indonesia has concluded its participation as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 with a series of strategic achievements aimed at strengthening industrial partnerships, opening investment opportunities, and expanding market access in the Eurasian region. Over the four-day international industrial exhibition, the Ministry of Industry leveraged bilateral meetings, business forums, business talks, and business matching sessions to broaden industrial cooperation, unlock investment opportunities, accelerate technology transfer, and enhance market access for Indonesian manufactured products. “Indonesia’s participation as the Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 has strengthened the national industry’s position in the Eurasian market. This is evident from the high enthusiasm of industry players from the Eurasian market who wish to cooperate with national industries and have even signed MoUs during our presence in Russia,” said Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Russia on Thursday (9/7). These achievements were realised through eight bilateral meetings with the governments of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, the Chelyabinsk Region, the Kirov Region, and the Sverdlovsk Region. The meetings resulted in various commitments to strengthen industrial, trade, and investment cooperation, downstream processing, industrial estate development, supply chain strengthening, technology transfer, and industrial human resource development, formalised through the signing of 13 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). The 13 MoUs include agreements between the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, as well as cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, the Chelyabinsk Region, the Kirov Region, and the Sverdlovsk Region. In addition, business-to-business (B2B) cooperation was also realised through the signing of MoUs involving the Indonesian Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Association (IPERINDO), PT PCM Kabel Indonesia, PT Athira Maritim Indonesia, and the Indonesian Ship Component Industries Association (PIKKI) with United Industrial Corporation AK Bars; an MoU between PT Minang Jordanindo and CHETRA LLC; and a memorandum of understanding between the Indonesian Industrial Estates Association (HKI) and the Association of Clusters, Technology Parks and Special Economic Zones of the Russian Federation (ACTPRF). The signed MoUs will serve as a foundation for developing industrial cooperation in various strategic sectors, including manufacturing industry development, mechanical engineering, heavy equipment industry, automotive, metallurgy, chemical industry, halal industry, mineral processing, industrial estate development, industrial human resource capacity building, and strengthening investment and trade. Beyond the MoUs, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry also organised eight consistently well-attended business talks and business forums for industry players, potential investors, and industrial stakeholders in Eurasia. This business diplomacy through business forums and business talks addressed various strategic issues, including advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, telematics, the maritime industry, downstream processing, the sustainable palm oil industry, and strengthening industrial value chains between the Eurasian and ASEAN regions. Director General of Resilience, Regionalisation, and International Industrial Access (KPAII) Tri Supondy stated that the various achievements obtained during INNOPROM 2026 demonstrate the significant interest of international partners in building cooperation with Indonesia. “Indonesia’s achievements during INNOPROM 2026 show that the national industry is increasingly trusted, and the various collaborations built through this event are expected to open more investment, trade, and industrial collaboration opportunities that provide added value for strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian manufacturing,” he said. Formika Event Business Programme Director Anton Atrashkin expressed appreciation for the extraordinary cooperation and contribution in making Indonesia’s participation as the Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 a success. “This is the first time Indonesian business players have been present in Russia on this scale, and we saw so much talent and energy poured into presenting a pavilion and a series of very impressive activities,” he said. Indonesia’s success as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 confirms that industrial diplomacy not only expands international partnership networks but also yields concrete cooperation that supports investment, value-added industrial development, and market access expansion. These various achievements form a foundation for strengthening Indonesia’s industrial partnerships with countries in the Eurasian region while supporting the national industrial transformation towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
