Indonesia CIO 200 Summit 2026: Elevating Indonesian Technology Leaders to the Global Stage

Jakarta – Indonesia is no longer merely recognised as the largest digital market in the region, but also as a birthplace of internationally recognised technology leaders. This spirit served as the common thread for the ‘Indonesia CIO 200 Summit 2026’, held on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, at the Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta.

Entering its fourth year, the event, organised by the Global CIO Forum Indonesia Chapter, brought together more than 200 technology leaders from various industries to share insights, build collaborations, and recognise achievements. The forum is led by President Hendy Harianto, alongside Vice Presidents Ichwan Peryana and Sudarto Unsurlany.

The Global CIO Forum is a global technology leadership community with over 50,000 active members across more than 60 countries over the past 11 years. “Through this community, opportunities are created to share knowledge and experience across borders,” stated Ronak Samantaray, CEO and co-founder of the Global CIO Forum, in a statement on Sunday, 7 June 2026.

This year, Indonesia aims for greater participation in the World CIO 200 Grand Finale. “We want to introduce Indonesian technology leaders to the global stage while strengthening Indonesia’s position as an emerging technology leadership hub in Asia,” said Hendy Harianto.

“Our goal is not merely to build networks, but to create a platform for technology leaders to share, learn, and create a real impact on the industry,” added Ichwan Peryana, Vice President of the Global CIO Forum Indonesia Chapter.

Sudarto Unsurlany, also a Vice President of the Global CIO Forum Indonesia Chapter, expressed similar sentiments, noting that the CIO 200 Indonesia Summit & Awards is expected to remain an annual agenda that strengthens collaboration between IT leaders, leading technology companies, and the academic world, both nationally and internationally.

A significant milestone of this summit was the launch of the Women in Technology Initiative. This is the first of its kind in the history of the Global CIO Forum and is an initiative born in Indonesia for the world. This step addresses the low participation of women in the national technology sector.

“Indonesian women in technology represent less than 20 per cent, and those reaching director-level positions account for only 8 per cent. This figure lags behind Thailand (42 per cent) and Singapore (41 per cent),” noted Yessie Yosetya, CIO of XLSMART.
