BGN Deputy Head for Public Communication and Investigations Nanik S. Deyang said that the number represents 52.37 percent of the total of 25,929 operational MBG kitchens—officially known as nutrition fulfillment service units (SPPGs)—and 81.39 percent of those already registered for certification.

“I have set a target for all SPPGs to register for the process by June and to obtain hygiene and sanitation certificates by August,” she remarked in Jakarta on Thursday.

She stressed that meeting the target requires sound synergy between state institutions to facilitate registration and certificate issuance in regions.

“As Executive Head of the MBG Coordination Team, I will continue to urge the Health Ministry and Home Affairs Ministry to help speed up certification processes while paying attention to the requirements set for SPPGs,” Deyang said.

On corrective measures, she stated that BGN would not hesitate to take stern action against MBG kitchens that fail to comply with administrative protocols, including certification.

“We will issue an order to temporarily halt operations at SPPGs that have not registered for hygiene and sanitation certification,” she affirmed.

Deyang emphasized that the strict enforcement reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that the MBG program proceeds strictly according to food quality and safety standards to avoid repercussions.

Separately, BGN Deputy Head for Operations and Nutrition Fulfillment Sony Sanjaya said the national priority program has also created more than one million jobs at SPPGs nationwide, highlighting its role in community empowerment.
