Indonesia Calls on US and Israel to Cease Attacks on Iran

The Indonesian Government has called on the United States and Israel to cease their attacks against Iran. Additionally, Indonesia has urged Tehran to stop attacking several countries in the Middle East region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it has received updated information from various Indonesian representatives in the Middle East. The security situation there is described as increasingly concerning.

“The Indonesian Government reiterates its deep concern over the escalating and expanding tensions and their impact in the Middle East,” stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement released via its official X account on Monday (9 March 2026).

“The Indonesian Government calls on the United States and Israel to cease attacks against Iran, and calls on Iran to cease attacks targeting neighbouring countries in the region, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan,” the Ministry added in its statement.
