Indonesia Basketball Association Extends Partnership with Molten until 2029
Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Basketball Association (DPP Perbasi) has extended its official ball partnership with PT Pradajaya Sportivo Indonesia, the sole exclusive distributor of Molten in Indonesia, through to 2 July 2029.
Perbasi’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Andiko Ardi Purnomo, said the extension represents a joint commitment to supporting basketball development and coaching from grassroots level through to the elite tier.
“We believe this synergy will further strengthen the sports industry ecosystem in Indonesia, particularly in the development and coaching of basketball,” Andiko said in Jakarta on Friday.
He explained that the continuation of the collaboration with a global principal such as Molten Corporation is expected to deliver consistent quality standards for match and training equipment across various regions.
Under the terms of the agreement, the company will facilitate the supply of balls for both 5x5 and 3x3 basketball, covering national team preparations for international competitions, domestic leagues, and development activities including national championships.
Andiko added that consistent, internationally standardised equipment support is one of the critical foundations for building a sustainable development pathway.
Through the partnership extension, he said, DPP Perbasi reaffirms its commitment to broadening public participation, improving competition quality, and strengthening the foundations of the national basketball industry over the long term.
“DPP Perbasi hopes this partnership will further facilitate the strengthening of the basketball ecosystem in Indonesia,” he said.
Molten is a Japanese sports equipment manufacturer established in 1958 in Hiroshima. The company is recognised as the official ball supplier for various international events under the auspices of world federations, including basketball, volleyball, and football.
In addition to developing high-technology basketballs such as the BG5000 series and FLISTATEC volleyballs, Molten also manufactures automotive components and medical devices.
