'Indonesia Baru' talk show
'Indonesia Baru' talk show
From Media Indonesia
I am among the fans of talk show Indonesia Baru, which is simultaneously broadcast by the five private TV stations on Feb. 29 at 9 p.m.
I watch the show to broaden my horizons. Besides, like it or not, people have to watch it so it must be made as attractive as possible from the selected sources, the topics and not least the presenter. Why? Because viewers have been robbed of their rights by this program which monopolizes all the TV stations.
I am rather annoyed with the host, Natalia Subagio. Her predecessor Eep Saefullah Fatah was calm and his language was poetic. It was a joy to listen to him and the discussions were dynamic. The new presenter is rigid, overacts a little and often makes slips of the tongue.
Why don't the show's producers use experienced presenters like Adolf Posumah or Ganjar Iyas from RCTI and Tjandra Wibowo or Rizal Mustari from SCTV? They are skilled at guiding a program and their questions are to the point.
Another aspect that needs attention is avoiding guests who only support each other's views, like in the recent program on regional autonomy with Ryaas Rasyid and Anggito Abimanyu.
I hope that my suggestions will contribute to the improvement of Indonesia Baru and liberate it from its present tedium.
