Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship 2026 Selection Enters Interview Stage
The selection for the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ (Kemenag) Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship (BIB) 2026 has entered its final stage. More than 4,000 participants who passed the Scholastic Aptitude Test (TBS) are scheduled to undergo interviews from 9 to 20 July 2026, which will serve as the final determinant for receiving the scholarship. Ruchman Basori, Head of the Centre for Religious Education Financing (Puspenma) at the Ministry’s Secretariat General, stated that the interview stage is crucial in deciding which participants earn the status of BIB 2026 awardee. He advised all participants to use the time before the interview to prepare as thoroughly as possible, noting that both academic and mental readiness would be key assets in facing the selection process. Ruchman also reminded participants to accompany their efforts with prayer, expressing hope that they would be granted ease in answering questions and become part of the programme. He explained that out of approximately 12,600 applicants, around 9,000 took the TBS, with over 4,000 qualifying for the interview stage. The Indonesia Bangkit Scholarship is a collaboration between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) under the Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving human resource quality in religious education through funding for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies both at home and abroad.
