Indonesia Audit Watch Founder Questioned by KPK Over Blueray Cargo Money Trail

Indonesia Audit Watch (IAW) founder Iskandar HP Sitorus has completed his examination as a witness by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a corruption case involving imports at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Following the examination, Iskandar stated he was questioned about evidence of transfers from Blueray Cargo to a civil servant at the directorate general named Ahmad Dedi.

“I was asked, ‘Do you know Ahmad Dedi?’ I said I don’t know him. ‘During your handling of Blueray’s non-litigation matters, was a name found in the data?’” Iskandar told reporters at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in South Jakarta on Friday (12/6/2026). He declined to mention the full name but confirmed the initials when asked, and under pressure from investigators, he admitted that evidence of a money transfer indeed existed.

Iskandar said he was then asked by investigators to bring the transfer evidence, which he plans to submit next week. “I was asked to deliver the transfer evidence on Wednesday. The transfer was made to the person referred to as the aide of that individual (Ahmad Dedi),” he added. Iskandar, who served as Blueray’s non-litigation legal representative, said he could not recall the exact nominal amount of the transfer but confirmed its existence. “I forget the nominal amount. But indeed, during my handling of Blueray’s management, there was that transfer evidence. That was what the investigators explored,” he concluded.

The KPK has named six suspects in this importation bribery case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise following a sting operation. Evidence seized by the anti-graft body totalled Rp 40.5 billion, including cash in rupiah, US dollars, Singapore dollars, and Japanese yen, as well as precious metals and a luxury watch. Three private sector individuals from PT Blueray Cargo are currently standing trial, accused of providing bribes amounting to Rp 61.3 billion in Singapore dollars along with various facilities and luxury goods worth Rp 1.8 billion.
