Indonesia and US Agree to Complete Trade Negotiations Within 60 Days
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — A negotiation team from Indonesia, dispatched by President Prabowo Subianto, has been sent to negotiate the 32% reciprocal tariff imposed by United States President Donald Trump on Indonesia.
The team, led by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, has arrived in the United States and held meetings with the US Department of Commerce and the United States Trade Representative (USTR).
In his official statement following the meetings, Airlangga said Indonesia and the United States had agreed to complete trade negotiations within 60 days. The meetings also established a framework and format for proposals to be put forward during the negotiations.
