Indonesia and Russia strengthen economic cooperation through WGTII

The protocol was signed by Edi Prio Pambudi, Deputy for Economic Cooperation and Investment Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, and Vladimir Illichev, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development.

“Through the signing of the protocol, both countries reaffirm their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation, including through increased market access, investment, and value-added industries,” Pambudi said in a statement on Friday.

The protocol outlines agreements, progress, and follow-up plans in priority sectors.

The document will guide the implementation of technical agreements and ensure the continuity of bilateral cooperation.

The cooperation covers key sectors, including trade, energy, agriculture, industry, and infrastructure.

The two countries also aim to enhance collaboration in logistics, special economic zones, the creative economy, and climate-related initiatives.

Pambudi expressed hope that the agreement would lead to concrete outcomes through stronger technical cooperation and accelerated projects.
