Indonesia and Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), have agreed to explore strengthening cooperation in investment, tourism, and other fields within a mutually beneficial collaboration framework. This emerged when Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha met with the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and Member of the UAE Supreme Federal Council, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday (29/6/2026).

During the meeting, both parties agreed to enhance cooperation in investment, development of relations between business communities and entrepreneurs, employment, and tourism. Ambassador Judha specifically conveyed Indonesia’s readiness to supply professional human resources to support the rapid growth of the tourism and hospitality sector in Ras Al Khaimah. Indonesia also welcomed cooperation opportunities in education and health.

The meeting was part of efforts to strengthen relations between Indonesia and the UAE, which in 2026 will have been established for 50 years. Strengthening cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah is also aimed at reinforcing productive cooperation between Indonesia and all seven emirates in the UAE. Ras Al Khaimah is a new economic growth centre in the UAE, with strengths in manufacturing, tourism, property, and industrial zones, and has rapidly developed as an international investment and tourism destination offering a competitive and foreign investor-friendly business climate.
