Indonesia views the two-state solution as a sustainable path to peace for Palestine. To that end, Indonesia is committed to working to ensure that the two-state solution can be realised. According to President Prabowo Subianto, the only sustainable solution is a two-state solution with an independent Palestine. This was conveyed by Prabowo after a bilateral meeting with the King of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II, at the Basman Palace, Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, local time. Based on this idea, Prabowo continued, Indonesia decided to join the Board of Peace (BoP). In the BoP, US President Donald Trump initiated 20 points of peace that lead to a two-state solution. The BoP was formed after Trump proposed 20 points of peace for Gaza and it was approved by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on 18 November 2025.
