Indonesia and Belarus Agree on Seven Priority Cooperations
President Prabowo Subianto has announced that Indonesia and Belarus have agreed on seven priority areas for cooperation, covering sectors such as economy, industry, agriculture, and culture.
This agreement was marked by the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and cooperation agreements, witnessed by President Prabowo and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
“The commitment of Indonesia and Belarus to strengthen bilateral relations is also evidenced today by the agreement on a number of cooperation documents by the delegations of both countries,” said President Prabowo.
“I hope that this cooperation can be implemented immediately so that it provides real benefits in the near future for both nations,” he added.
The agreed MoUs and agreements include industrial cooperation between the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus; cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus; and cooperation between the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the National Bank of Belarus.
Furthermore, there is health sector cooperation between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, as well as an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation between the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) of the Republic of Indonesia and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Additionally, the meeting saw the agreement on the Roadmap for the Development of Key Areas of Cooperation between the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of Belarus for the period 2026-2030.
This series of agreements reflects the strong commitment of both nations to elevate bilateral relations to a closer, more productive, and mutually beneficial level.
Through the implementation of these various collaborations, Indonesia and Belarus are expected to be able to strengthen economic growth, drive innovation, enhance human resource capacity, and solidify a strategic partnership oriented towards shared prosperity.
