Indonesia Air Show
Indonesia Air Show
From Media Indonesia
Everybody knows that Indonesia is now making serious efforts towards building industries using sophisticated technology, particularly in the field of aviation.
The air show should have aimed to educate young people about aviation. Did the committee work towards this? Enhancing the intellectual life of the nation is enshrined in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution.
The show, which cost billions of rupiah, was mainly aimed at business people, and many of their children visited this show. The committee should have allowed more of the common people's children to watch the show. Our forefathers struggled together to free the country from the yoke of colonialism. How come that now only the rich have this privilege? We should remember President Soekarno's words: "It is much worthier to witness just once than to hear a thousand times."
